As an update on the above regattas it is understood that NZSSSC has made a decision to cancel summer tournament week, of which the Maadi Cup is part. As of yet a decision has not been formally issued by NZSSSC. I have learned this morning that they are getting push back from some schools and maybe reconsidering the cancellation. Therefore we are in a holding pattern awaiting a formal announcement.

South Island Rowing has the full support of RNZ management to host alternative regattas should the Maadi Cup be cancelled.

So the message at this time is, there is plenty to train for. 👍
